Bournemouth & The Dorset Countryside

Staying at the 4* Marsham Court Hotel
Bournemouth is the largest seaside resort in Dorset with seven miles of coastline, an iconic pier, fine shopping centre and beautiful gardens which are centrally located. Our base for this tour is at the family-owned Marsham Court Hotel which opened in 1913 and was bought by a Mr & Mrs Marsh. The hotel had only 13 rooms until demand became so high that in 1923, they bought the neighbouring property and extended it to now providing 41 rooms. Now in its 4th generation, the current owners take great pride in the hotels appearance and the service they provide. Aswell as this, it is situated in the perfect location – just moments from the beach and the centre of Bournemouth.

Our Itinerary
DAY 1 Your door-to-door service will pick you up from your doorstep and bring you to the coach. We then head south and to the delightful seaside resort of Bournemouth and our hotel for the next 4 nights. Suitable comfort breaks will be made along the way.
DAY 2 A free day today to relax or explore all that Bournemouth has to offer. Bournemouth is part of the Jurassic coast and boasts beautiful beaches an iconic pier and splendid gardens.
DAY 3 A full day today as we drive first to Poole to peruse at leisure, we then join our boat for a Pool Harbour and islands circular cruise. Take in fantastic views from the open deck as we pass picturesque Brownsea Island, Sandbanks Peninsula, Studland Bay and more. With live commentary from the Captain you’re guaranteed to not miss a thing. You can also enjoy the lower saloon lounge area that includes both seating and a fully licensed bar. Later, this afternoon we head to the seaside town of Swanage, where we have a single journey on the Swanage Steam Railway to Norden where the coach will meet you to transfer you back to the hotel.
DAY 4 A full day again today as we travel firstly to Dorchester. Dorchester is not only Dorset’s county town but also the birthplace of famous author and poet Thomas Hardy. The town enjoys a rich history dating back as far as the Iron Age and is home to the Roman Town House, the finest example of its kind in Britain. This afternoon we head to the seaside town of Weymouth. Blue Flag-winning Weymouth Beach is consistently recognised as one of the top twenty beaches in Europe.
DAY 5 Sadly we have to head for home. We retrace our steps to the northwest and to our door-to-door service which will transfer you to your doorsteps. Suitable comfort breaks will be made along the way.
