Staying at the Langstone Cliff Hotel
You’ll find the family-run hotel set within 19 acres of woodlands, right on the beautiful south coast of Devon. Thanks to their stunning location, the Langstone Cliff is the only choice when it comes to enjoying a beautiful South Devon hotel getaway. Overlooking the Exe Estuary, they are the only Dawlish hotel that is surrounded by luscious lawns and gardens, not forgetting the magnificent sea views that lead down to the golden sandy beaches and the Warren. The hotel’s reputation is unrivalled and it is something the owners (the Roger’s family) are extremely proud of. With the beach just a short walk away via a public footpath and the internationally famous nature reserve at Dawlish Warren nearby,
this makes the perfect base.

Our Itinerary
DAY 1 After your door-to-door service has picked you up from your door, we join our coach and travel south via the motorway networks. We will have suitable comfort breaks on our way to our hotel where we hope to arrive late afternoon.
DAY 2 A full day today as we head through the Dartmoor National Park to Princetown where we have morning coffee booked for you. There will be suitable time for you to explore before we continue through to Tavistock. Tavistock is a thriving, beautifully friendly market town that is worthy of any visitor. An ancient stannary town and home of the cream tea, Tavistock is the only town in Devon to hold world heritage status.
DAY 3 A full day today. We head first to the town of Totnes. Nestled between Dartmoor and the South Devon coastline, Totnes is a captivating town with a colourful history dating back to 907 AD, sitting on the banks of the River Dart. After time here, we join our steam train for an included single journey on the South Devon Railway. The SDR is a seven-mile former Great Western Railway branch line, built in 1872,
which runs along the stunning valley of the River Dart. We re-join our coach and transfer to Buckfast Abbey. Home to the Benedictine Monks, Buckfast Abbey has something for everyone. The story of the build is fascinating and the stained-glass window is well worth a view.
DAY 4 A full day tour today taking us to the Victorian seaside town of Sidmouth, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In the afternoon we travel to Seaton for an included single journey on the narrow-gauge tramway to Colyton. There will be time at Colyton to purchase refreshments and weather permitting, enjoy your surroundings. The coach will meet you here for the return to the hotel.
DAY 5 We retrace our steps north making suitable refreshments stops to your door-to-door service and home.
