Our Itinerary
DAY 1 Once your door-to-door service has picked you up from your doorstep, we join our coach and travel south to our hotel and our home for the next 4 nights. We hope to arrive by 4pm, plenty of time to settle into your rooms before dinner.
DAY 2 Today we have a full day as we head firstly to the thriving market town of Moreton-in-Marsh for market day. The broad high street is lined with elegant 17th and 18th-century buildings. The outdoor market is the largest in the Cotswolds. This afternoon we have an included visit to Sezincote House & Garden, Sezincote is unique. At the heart of a traditional, family-run estate covering 3,500 acres of rolling Cotswold countryside stands a 200-year-old Mogul Indian palace, set in a romantic landscape of temples, grottoes, waterfalls and canals reminiscent of the Taj Mahal.
DAY 3 A full day again today. This morning, we have an included single journey on the Gloucester & Warwickshire Railway from Cheltenham to Broadway. The train runs between Cheltenham Racecourse and Broadway through some of the most spectacular scenery in the Cotswolds. This afternoon we spend at Hidcote Gardens. Hidcote is a world-famous Arts and Crafts-inspired Garden nestled in a north Cotswold hamlet, created by passionate plantsman and talented designer, Major Lawrence Johnston. Covering an area of 10.5 acres the garden takes visitors on a journey through intimate formal areas revealing a different atmosphere or new vista at every turn.
DAY 4 This morning we shall spend at Snowshill House & Garden. It is a 16th-century country house, best known for its 20th-century owner, Charles Paget Wade, an eccentric who amassed an enormous collection of objects that interested him. Alongside friend and fellow architect Mackay Hugh Baillie Scott, Wade set out to design a garden which reflected the theatre and form of the manor. This afternoon we spend back at our hotel for you to relax and maybe take use of the facilities.
DAY 5 Today, we head for home and your door-to-door service which will return you back to your doorstep. Suitable refreshments will be taken on the way.
