Steeped in history, Stratford-upon-Avon is a pretty medieval market town and is the 16th-century birthplace of William Shakespeare. Possibly the most famous writer in the English language, Shakespeare is known for his sonnets and plays such as ‘Romeo and Juliet’ and ‘Hamlet’. This town is the perfect base for our tour and also the surrounding areas. Our hotel is central to Shakespearean sights in Stratford-upon-Avon with just a 10-minute walk from the Royal Shakespeare Theatre.

DAY 2 A full day today as we make our way this morning to the Cotswolds thriving market town of Moreton-in-Marsh. Moreton’s High Street is lined with elegant Cotswolds stone buildings which house many specialist shops. Today is Market Day and we’re sure you’ll find a bargain. We later make our way to Upton House & Gardens for an included visit. Upton House was acquired in 1927 by Lord and Lady Bearsted.

An impressive bronze statue of the “Fine Lady” from the famous “Ride a cock horse to Banbury Cross” rhyme is set close to the Banbury Cross. We later continue to the medieval castle town of Warwick, the county town of Warwickshire.
